SITUATION: The owner/founder of this plastic injection molding company was also an inventor and held numerous patents. My company was retained to perform market research to determine the size and scope of a market for a new type of peg board hook. Upon completion of the research, it was determined the market was viable and a marketing and sales plan was created to attack the market.
SOLUTION: The marketing/sales plan was implemented on a nationwide basis. Brochures were designed, printed and mailed. Direct mail was utilized to offer free "trials" of the product.
RESULTS: Sales went from zero units as a startup to over three million units within 18 months.
